Today, September 26, 2021 marks the 40th anniversary of the release of Skate Rock’s seminal collection of songs called ‘Blatant Localism EP’ by the band JFA (Placebo Records 101). Clocking in at just under seven minutes to get through six songs, this record defined a new genre. ‘Skate Rock’ would inspire generations of young skate punks to get on board and get in the pit!
To mark this auspicious event, we have employed once again the great Exteenager (Robbie Arias) to re-create this iconic record cover in his own amazing style while adding a little ‘experience’ to the band members. Brian added the sunset background and before we knew it we had a new iconic image!
