AZPX Tiki Collaboration with Tom Cooper

There is nothing AZPX likes better to do than collaborate with local artists/friends. Tom ‘T-Bomb’ Cooper (@toms.artproject) is one of those amazing people that I have had the honor to be good friends with for about 30+ years. When I met Tom, he was with PING! and he was RIPPING a pool (can’t remember which one) and our friendship was instant. Tom old-school’d drew up the first layout/films for my SEEDLESS Brand before it was ‘appropriated’ from me.

When I got my Studio Art degree from ASU Tom and I curated an insane skate art show about 2003(?) at the HOLGA Gallery in Phoenix called Skateboard Art(ist). I remember while we were setting up the show, hanging art, we took a skate break in the gallery and tore that place apart. Memories like that create enduring friendships.

Fast forward to today, I still see/hang out with Tom, he is more on kind of a ‘Tiki’ path with his art creating some beautiful pieces from found objects such as toilet paper rolls. I talked him into drawing up a logo for an AZPX shirt and we are proud to offer the results in the form of a Men and Ladies shirt.
