A few years ago I commissioned the great Brian Reed to modify some Independent 215 Skateboard Trucks with some of his amazing craftsmanship to make a truly one-of-a-kind set of trucks. Needless to say Mr. Reed went off and did a full-body metal-on-metal tattoo job on each truck, each being totally different with representations of skateboard shredding and Arizona – my two favorite things, on TWO of my favorite things. Bravo, Lurkenstein!
I had tried several times to share this masterpiece but I have never had good results with my photography skills to do this art justice. Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to do an awesome website project with my long-time buddy and skateboard brethren Todd Joseph for his awesome jewelry store Saddlebagsaz.com. Todd’s role was to photograph the products for the web store I was programming and man, his photos were beautiful. TJ did me the solid and photographed my trucks for me so I can share them properly.
