Fish and Destroy: The Jon Yousko Photo Archive and Higher Rollers

This past week we lost founding guitarist of Junior Achievement/The Harvest Steve Marinick. Much love and support to the Marinick family. Steve’s bandmate, Jon Yousko wanted to share some photos and words in his honor:

I think our drummer Scott Chazen said it best……..Steve Marinick put the rock in punk rock.

The Harvest at a west-side desert party.  The only time we played in the dust of the desert, complete with generators to power the show.
This meant a lot to us and ironically, was the last show The Harvest would play.  Our final gig was at Tempe Diablo Stadium for the New Times music awards.

The Harvest on the second night of our US Tour.  We played a “farewell” show at the Jar the night before and then drove to Vegas for the official start of the tour.  We took that blue school bus all over the U.S. along with the Dirt Clod’s with the highlight being a Sunday punk matinee show at CBGB’s.
Gonna miss this guy.  Although we didn’t really stay that connected after I left Arizona, there is no doubt that some of the best times of my life were shared with Steve Marinick. Love ya dude………..
