Working with Jon and the Crew at Funky Flies NFT was quite the experience. We were up a lot of logistics but weathered all the storms and made 100 brand new complete skateboards a reality for the Uganda Skateboard Society in Kampala, Uganda. To help alleviate the cost of this ambitious feat, Funky Flies is offering single pool-shape decks until limited quantities run out.
Funky Flies, an NFT business out of Vermont and AZPX have teamed up to create and send 100 complete skateboards to the Uganda Skateboard Society. Upon the complete mint out of their new NFT collection, Funky Flies have donated 100 professional skateboard set-ups. A huge thanks goes out PSStix who jumped on board to help us create custom Funky Flies decks. A good deck isn’t enough. The good folks at Speedlab Wheels hooked us up with 100 sets of professional grade wheels. Scottsdale Sidewalk Surfer helped me handle the rest of the components: Independent Trucks, Bearings, Mounting Bolts and they even threw in skate tools! These kids are going to rip!
