I love this photo of Mike at the Jai Lai Banks in Phoenix. The shadows, the gear. Summertime hot as fuck, late 80’s. Who cares Mike’s FSA is a little stinky, that shit is huge for that spot.

That was the first spot I ever skated in Phoenix & is where I met most of the pool skaters that became life-long friends. Jai Alai was the go-to warm-up/gathering place to assemble the troops for many backyard barge missions. That’s a huge air indeed, probably higher than the transition is tall!
