AZPX loves to collaborate with artists and working with a former high-school art class classmate Dennis Boyd is no exception. Our instructor, Mr. Neal, influenced both of us in our sort-of-similar-but-not-really-each-other’s artistic endeavors. Dennis took the fine art route becoming a successful Plein-Air painter and graphic artist residing in Montana. I became a total fuck-off.
I commissioned Dennis to paint a painting for my wife of Hummingbirds. Boyd actually traveled to another state to do sketches of live hummingbirds since there weren’t any in Montana at the time. Needless to say he hit a grand-slam and now my family owns a priceless heirloom. The dude is pro-level!
Dennis is constantly drawing, painting, designing or all of the above. He recently shared some sketches on FB and I showed interest in his sketch of a Montana Cock. Before I knew it Boyd bestowed the drawing to me for the purpose of creating an AZPX shirt. That’s the story of Dennis’ Big Red Montana Cock.
